Sevgili güzel insanlar,
Öncelikle hepinize sevgiler sunuyorum.
Sizlere çocukların ve kitapların hayatımızdaki yeri ve önemini kısaca anlatmaya çalışacağım.
Dünyada iki şeyi çok severim. Birincisi çocuklar, ikincisi de kitaplardır. Çocuklar bizim bugünümüz, yarınımız daha açıkçası ileride bizlerin yerini alacak olan büyüklerimizdir. Onlar en büyük eserimizdir. Onları yarına hazırlamak, hepimizin kutsal görevidir. Bu görevimizi eksiksiz yerine getirmek zorundayız. Çünkü yarınlar onların olacaktır.

Kitaplar ise bizleri güneş gibi ısıtıp aydınlatan çok değerli yapıtlardır. Yemek, içmek nasıl bedenimizin ihtiyacı ise, okumakta ruhumuzun vazgeçilmez bir ihtiyacıdır. Sıkıntımızı unutmak; hayatımızı, ruhumuzu, kafamızı, düşüncelerimizi ve fikirlerimizi aydınlatmak için mutlaka okumaya ihtiyacımız vardır.
Kitap, hiç şüphesiz fertlerin ve milletlerin hayatını değiştiren, yenileştiren ve ilerlemelerini sağlayan en önemli vasıtalardan biridir. Bizi maddi manevi yönden üstün kılan bilgiler, kitap sayfaları arasındadır. İyi kitap, insan da olumlu ilgilerin uyanıp gelişmesine yardım eder.
Hayatımın yarısı okumakla, yazmakla ve çocuklarla iletişim içinde geçti ve de gçiyor. Çocuklardan çok şey öğrendim. Doğru bildiğim birçok yanlışları çocukların sayesinde farkedebildim. Onlar benim hayatta gerçek öğretmenlerim oldu. Her zaman diyorum; “Keşke bu güzel dünyamızı çocuklar yönetseler!” Çünkü hepsinin tertemiz vicdanları vardır.Ne zaman bir araya gelseler, hemen kaynaşıp oynamaya ve paylaşmaya başlarlar. Kendi aralarında hemen yeni bir dünya kurarlar. Ne kavga, ne sömürü, ne sınıf ayrımı, ne de din, dil, ırk, mezhep, cinsiyet ayrımı yaparlar. Böyle bir utanç onlarda görülmez.Kısacası çocuklar ve kitaplar bizim en iyi rehberlerimiz yani öğretmenlerimizdir. Her ikisininde değerini çok iyi bilmeliyiz.
